  • Mr. Esam Althukair, Saudi Arab delegate from Small & Medium Enterprises General Authority, introduced some of Saudi Arabia's policies and initiatives to support the development of SMEs, which mainly includes ease of doing business (Government Fees Refund), support and development (consulting, training, digital support), opportunities (investment and franchising), data and information (SMEs sector information and events), Entrepreneurship (business incubators licenses, social entrepreneurship challenges, entrepreneurship hubs and universities startups), innovation (reward, idea platform "Fikra", and innovation center) and financial support (access to loans, guarantees, venture capital). In terms of financial support, it includes a $1.9 billion government fee refund program "Esterdad" and a $750 million government venture capital fund.
