  • Although the economy is currently experiencing one of the most serious financial crises in Argentina, entrepreneurship in tech field has not been affected.

In Buenos Aires, a specific region was established in 2008 to promote the innovation and technology development. Currently, tech startups get good services there.

The IncuBAte, an incubator established under the Education and Innovation Department of the Government in Buenos Aires, provides guidance, funding and workspace for entrepreneurs. It mainly targets the commercial, production, social and technological projects with a history of less than 4 years, which have significantly social impact in the city.

Four types of services are included as following: mentoring and advice from experts in a personalized manner, non-reimbursable funding, connections with other stakeholders in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and workspace.

It launched two types of projects in 2019, one is creative industry projects, including design, tourism, food, media, and audio-visual. The second is knowledge industry projects, including technology, science, environment, agricultural technology and education.

Because of the wealth of capital fund for the acceleration and incubator program, the IncuBAte has greatly accelerated the growth of startups.
