On May 7, 2018, La Nacion reported that on the spur of rapid development of domestic entrepreneurship in Argentina, microfinance has become prevalent. The number of borrowers with micofinance has reached 81,000, twice the number of 10 years ago. Under the guidance of the Argentina Ministry of Finance, microfinance institutions and private sectors strive to achieve financial inclusion, conduct credit and risk assessments of microfinance entities, and provide credit accordingly. Among them, NGOs have played an important role in the process, enabling microfinance to not only provide funds, but also support and training. In Argentina, 56 organizations are involved specifically in the support of microfinance for entrepreneurship – training entrepreneurs using the funds and subsidies provided by the state.
