Japan: Indo-Japan Startup Hub Begins Operation in Bengaluru

  • The Japan External Trade Organization (Jetro), the National Association of Software and Service Companies of India (Nasscom) and the Bangalore School of Management formally inaugurated the Indo-Japan Startup Hub in Bengaluru on April 30, 2018. 

    The Hub was announced in a joint statement with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe during Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Japan in 2017. The Hub will function as a platform to promote information exchange, business cooperation and joint investment between the two countries’ innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. Japan’s hardware advantages and India’s software strength will further drive innovation. The Japan-India Startup Hub is part of the Japan External Trade Organization’s Global Accelerator Hub program which has established similar institutions in 12 other countries.
