  • Ms. Higashira Fumie, Japanese delegate from the Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare, shared Japan's policies and practices of promoting elderly employment. Among those, She focused on the government's support and assistance to elderly entrepreneurs through a series of subsidies to prolong their working time, for example, companies that employ people over the age of 65 can apply for subsidies of 2 million yen from government, and companies started up by elderly entrepreneurs can obtain subsidies from government if their productivity indicators reach certain standards.
