The 2019 G20 Entrepreneurship Roundtable was held on October 22-23, by Entrepreneurship Research Center on G20 Economies at Tsinghua Sanya International Mathematics Forum, supervised by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of China (MOHRSS). The theme of this year is “Enhance the effectiveness of actions, improve the qualities of entrepreneurship.”
Mr. Hao Bin, Director General of the Department of International Cooperation of MOHRSS, chaired the opening session.
Mr. Zhang Zhenhua, Director of the Standing Committee of the Sanya Municipal People's Congress, delivered a keynote speech.
Professor Gao Jian, Director of Entrepreneurship Research Center on G20 Economies and Professor of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Strategy at Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management, launched the Assessment Report of the G20 Entrepreneurship Action Plan and The GEM 2018/2019 China Report.
The Roundtable is divided into five sessions: "Government policies to support entrepreneurship," "Entrepreneurship opportunities in new Industries, new models and new business," "Entrepreneurship in the digital age," "Enable start-up to scale-up" and "Internationalization of entrepreneurship platforms."
Among the 150 distinguished speakers and guests are officials from G20 member countries' governments, senior representatives of relevant international organizations, officials from related Chinese government departments, experts in entrepreneurship research, and entrepreneur representatives.
