India: The amount of active tech start-ups had increased by 1300

  • According to a NASSCOM report released in 15th February 2023, India added more than 1300 active tech start-ups last year, bringing the total from 25000 to 27000. Since then, India has remained the world's third-largest tech startup ecosystem (after the United States and China). In 2022, nearly 1400 start-ups received investment which up 18% year on year, and 47% of them launched the first round of financing in 2022. Early investment (USD 5.9 billion in 2022) and seed investment (USD 1.2 billion) increased by 25-35% year-on-year while the budding technology startups have received 1018 investments.
