  • The Angel Investment Network (AIN), a 14-year old platform linking Angel investors to startups, is made up of about 17,000 Angel investors, but less than 10% of them are women. Now, AIN has set up a new platform specifically to connect female founders and investors to address the underrepresentation of women in the investor and founder ranks. The new platform has the aptly named "Female Founders". It will showcase women-led startups and help female founders seek funding and guidance from female investors.

AIN said the "Female Founders" platform is only the first step in their mission to increase the representation of women in the industry through community events, meet-and-tell events, and digital networks.
