(KAGIDER), recognized the best and brightest
           women entrepreneurs in 2019.
The competition that has grown into a well-
           recognized platform for celebrating the
           achievements of inspiring business women
empowered women by setting an example of
female professionalism and success. Current data
suggests that there are approximately 133,000
                                   ౢ޿ն࿐ؽ൅ݓࠢ๶Էြ࿹࣮ᇏྏ
women entrepreneurs in Turkey, representing 9
percent of all entrepreneurs in the country. In the
early 2000s, this figure stood at close to 5 percent.
Commenting on these figures, the Garanti BBVA
CEO Batu said, "Although such an increase
is promising, we still have a long way to go. We learned that a strong economic structure needed equal opportunities for everyone. The
most effective way to move in this direction is to increase women's presence and visibility in the world of business. "

OECD: The Digital for SMEs Global Initiative (D4SME) Was Launched

OECD held the first Roundtable to bolster digitalization of SMEs on Friday, 29 November,
in which the Digital for SMEs Global Initiative was launched. The Event gathered Ministers
from New Zealand, Korea and Ireland, as well as close to 100 participants, including 23
governments, 13 large companies, 28 SMEs, 5 incubators, 4 financial institutions and

for SMEs Global Initiative (D4SME) intends to promote knowledge sharing and learnings
on how different types of SMEs can seize the benefits of digitalization, and on the role
of government, regulators, business sectors and other institutions in supporting SME
                                            digitalization.

Through international benchmarking and country-level studies, the OECD can help
governments assess conditions for digital adoption by SMEs and identify good practices to
enhance effective use of digital applications, while mitigating emerging risks.
