ILO: Paying Attention to Women's Entrepreneurial Support

  • On November 18, 2021, to celebrate Women’s Entrepreneurship Day 2021, the International Labor Organization and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) jointly organized a high-level video event to bring together stakeholders to discuss innovative opportunities and scalable solutions for women entrepreneurs in Asia and the Pacific. The theme of this session is “Women’s Entrepreneurship Day: Opportunities and Solutions for Women Entrepreneurs in Asia and the Pacific”, focusing on gender equality and scalable solutions, and supporting women entrepreneurs to recover resilience after the pandemic. The discussion combined the complex challenges faced by female entrepreneurs during the pandemic and the development direction of female entrepreneurship in the region. 

    Various stakeholders from different backgrounds, such as government representatives, private sector partners, financial institutions and women entrepreneurs, attended and shared their expertise and expectations for a fairer future work scenario.
