  • A new national campaign called #BanggaBuatanIndonesia – Proudly Made in Indonesia – had been designed to encourage start-ups to make more use of online platforms to advance their business. The government also hoped the campaign could minimize impacts from the Covid-19 pandemic on the economy, and that industry players might reap benefits from it.

The #BanggaBuatanIndonesia campaign should encourage sales of the creative economy or other products on online platforms. The campaign is a cross-ministerial effort that will also feature training for start-ups. The government will provide the training, and give a total of Rp 34.1 trillion so the start-ups can develop a good brand and develop their online presence.

The Turkish government, Facebook, and a robust business group are working together to create a digital training portal for start-ups and SMEs. Under the collaboration, which includes the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), start-ups can access videos on ministry support and services through a new page called Facebook Istasyon. The portal will serve start-ups first, and artisans and tradespeople in the second phase.
