  • The Ministry of Science and Technology of China and the Ministry of Education have put forward new requirements to enhance the universities' ability to commercialize scientific and research findings. The focus is on the establishment of specialized institutions in universities to boost the commercialization of scientific and research findings, which clarifies its main functions and personnel training indicators.

    The Ministry of Education has included the effectiveness of the agencies in promoting the commercialization of scientific and technological findings into the monitoring and evaluation of first-class universities and first-class discipline construction as an important indicator. The agencies should establish a high-level and professional team of personnel, of which the proportion of technical managers and technical brokers with professional training in technology development, finance, enterprise management, and business negotiation, is not less than 70%.

Cultivate and attract talents in the quantum computing industry, and evaluate the skills needs of future quantum technicians. Explore effective financing mechanisms to support the commercialization of quantum technology applications. Evaluate the capabilities and infrastructure of the domestic quantum industry and cultivate successful business models. CSIRO believes quantum computing can be the most promising long-term opportunity for Australia.


    The South Korean government will seek the Korean version of the Digital New Deal so that South Korea can spearhead new industries in the intact, digital fields. The president said the government would soon provide the public with detailed schemes on establishing digital infrastructures like big data, 5G networks and artificial intelligence, nurturing intact industries, supporting the digital start-ups and digitalizing social overhead capital.
